👉 BEFORE YOU START:
To be able to play the game, you first need to complete a few technical steps!
Step 1: Log in (Create a user account) 🔐
In the top right corner of the page, click on ‘Log in’. If you don’t already have an account, you need to create a new one. Click on ‘Create a new account’ (‘Neues Konto anlegen’) and proceed with the instructions to create a new account.
Log in with your account.
Step 2: Enroll in the D.C. Challenge course 🔑
Once you are logged in the Moodle system, navigate back to the D.C. Challenge course (if not already on the page). A new option will appear in the top blue banner – ‘Enroll in the course’. Click and confirm your self-enrollment in the course.
Done! You are ready to play!

- It will take approximately 60 minutes to complete the adventure.
- New content will appear each time you successfully solve a puzzle.
- Read all instructions carefully, clues can be hidden anywhere.
- If you made a mistake when solving a puzzle, click the ‘retry’ button.

During your assignment for a local newspaper, the DC Bulletin, you met Harper, a bright and resourceful young intern currently working at the newspaper. Harper is known for having a knack for finding unique, off-the-beaten-path locations. Because you want to become a true DC expert, Harper promised to share with you a special local gem. You are scheduled to meet at the Union Station, but when you get there, Harper is nowhere to be found.
But look! Harper has left behind a smartphone📱! You pick it up and find a message from Harper:
